English for Integrated Studies (EIS) is an innovation for curriculum development and practice to improve the effectiveness of curriculum and instruction in basic education.
EIS has its political agenda, that is, to increase educational profile and hence the economic opportunities of low income Thais.
EIS focuses on the use of English as a medium of instruction in the following:
(a) Mathematical methodology
(b) Science methodology
(c) English language
(d) technology as a pedagogical tool in teaching
The instructional programme focuses on pedagogical design and teaching approaches at the moment.

'In the year 2010, the minister of education,Thailand had announced and promoted EIS project as a leading pilot prototype school of Thailand. Now the new Minister of Education, Mr. Chinaworn Bunyakiat and Thailand Ministry of Education have accepted and engaged EIS model as policy strategy to enhance the 2nd decade Thailand educational revolution.'
